The massacres in the Bosnian town Srebrenica in July 1995 are said to be the
worst warcrimes commited against civilians in Europe after the Second World
War.
The documentary "Crime and Punishment" shows us the tragedy of Srebrenica
where more than 10.000 people were massacered and killed. We meet survivors
- men and women telling what happened during the dramatic days when UN gave
up protecting the civilians from the Serbs.
More than three years has gone, and only one of the war criminals from
Srebrenica is convicted - and he gave himself up. Drazen Erdemovic was
convicted ten years of prison for the execution of more than 70 people.
At the International Criminal Court of Hague the trials against the war
criminals are still proceeding - but the responsibles for the massaceres are
still enjoying their freedom.
